Adrian Berezowsky is the vice president of Dynamic Environmental Associates (DEA) and has over 16 years of experience in the wireless industry. He’s been a member of the NYSWA board of directors for over 13 years, served on the executive committee for eight years, and has been a member of the association for over 16 years. Impressive.

Find out why Adrian looks at a career in the wireless industry as “never boring” and one that once you join, is very difficult to leave.

What brought you to the wireless industry initially?

I received a job opportunity that had a heavy focus on wireless. The position dovetailed nicely with my education – I studied for a Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Arts, followed by a JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. From there, I suppose I never looked back. Once you’re in wireless, it’s very hard to leave.

What do you see as the greatest opportunity for our industry over the next few years?

Rural broadband funding. You’re going to see a lot of discussion and innovation around this topic in the coming years as we put our focus on the unserved and underserved.

What are you most looking forward to contributing to your role as a NYSWA board member this year?

I’m hoping to invest my time to find new leadership. Our organization is always looking to engage new, active members to step into advanced roles both on our committees and board, especially as it pertains to event planning roles. I’d like to see us grow in this area.

What would you share with others on how getting involved with NYSWA can affect their career?

NYSWA opens you up to people and information that you would not otherwise come by easily. The access is incredible and one of the greatest assets of the association. When you get involved, you tap into a non-traditional way of developing client relationships, partnerships, and friends.

As our industry looks to the next generation of leaders, what would you share with someone just starting their career in wireless?

Be ready for a fast-paced, never boring career!

What is your passion? What gets you out of bed every day?
First and foremost, my family and friends. But also new challenges. I like to see what each new day will bring.

What is something about you that most people are surprised to learn?

I am Ukrainian by heritage. Kidding … mostly everyone already knows this about me, but it is nonetheless a big part of who I am.

What is the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received?

Work ON the business and not IN the business. This translates to my role at NYSWA as well. It’s advice that will never fail you.
