NYSWA’s 2022 Wireless Forum Returns with Top-Name Speakers and Education You Can’t Afford to Miss
In just a few weeks, the 2022 Wireless Forum will return to Sarasota Springs in a nod to the first tradeshow NYSWA hosted 14 years ago. After a two-year hiatus, the event is returning to unite members and industry partners in what is expected to be an event unlike any other. Attendees will convene at the Sarasota Springs City Center for two days of all-star keynote speakers, important panel discussions, networking opportunities, and over 30 of the industry’s top vendors.
The event will open on September 15th where attendees will be treated to a tour of the Sarasota Performing Arts Center, followed by an opening networking reception at The Night Owl.
Day two kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with keynote presenter Daniel Ives, managing director of Equity Research, who will discuss the current state of 5G. Daniel will set the stage for a morning of panel discussions that will explore topics such as Telecom Infrastructure, Broadband Funding, and the Importance of In-Building Wireless Coverage in New York State.
The mid-morning session will be of particular interest with a panel of experts discussing the unprecedented sources of capital that are beginning to flow through the NTIA, FCC, and NYS Connect All for the deployment of new broadband infrastructure. Notable industry and political representatives, including Bill Farber of NYSAC, Assemblyman Billy Jones, Chris Fisher of Cuddy and Feder, Lee Davenport of US Ignite, and Ethan Lucarelli – the Legal Advisor to FCC Chair Rosenworcel, will share their perspective on this historic cycle of broadband investments and how it is expected to impact New York.
Following lunch, attendees will have the distinct honor of a visit from U.S. Senator Kirstin Gillibrand presenting the event’s Keynote Address. Born and raised in upstate New York, Senator Gillibrand has been fighting for the betterment of working families in Congress since 2009.
“I’m very excited about this year’s line-up of presenters,” said Robert Gaudioso, Chair of the NYSWA Education Committee. “While the keynote presentation from Senator Gillibrand will be difficult to top, I am looking forward to the diversity discussion. This esteemed group of experts from notable wireless corporations will share their knowledge on how our industry can better understand DE&I and how other organizations can expand and support diversity and inclusion in their own corporate cultures. It’s timely and the discussion will be invaluable.”
Before wrapping up the day with the final speaker, Ed Knapp from American Tower, attendees will hear guest speakers discuss The Challenges of Deploying 5G and Beyond where they will learn what’s become easier, what challenges still remain, and how we can better prepare as an industry.
“This is going to be the measuring stick for all other wireless events,” said Paul Fettuccia, NYSWA president. “The team has compiled one of the best education line-ups that we’ve seen in years. As the first post-pandemic, in-person event, we’re really positioning ourselves to exceed expectations by bringing critical discussions to the table. I’m excited.”
But education isn’t the only thing that will shine in Sarasota this year. The networking receptions, discussion breaks, exhibit hall, and the Award Scholarship Video are certain to make this event worth attending on their own.
This year, exhibitors from nearly 20 companies will be available during exclusive exhibit hall hours, coffee breaks and at the networking receptions so you can make quality connections with some of the biggest and best names in wireless today.
